Volunteer Deadline: Dec. 18th

Description:
We will be assisting the Salvation Army in distributing their collected Toy and Food donations. Those receiving their services will come to the Salvation Army in Modesto and our team will help each client get their donated items together and then out to their transportation.

 

December 23rd (Tuesday)

Description:
On most days if you go to the Salvation Army for a meal you will wait in a line getting your food cafeteria style then sit, eat and leave. On this day each person will be escorted into a dinning room and seated at a table where we will serve them their meal. We will engage in conversation, hopefully being a blessing as we wait on them for the afternoon.

 

December 25th (CHRISTMAS DAY)

Volunteer Deadline: Dec. 21st

Description:
The Rescue Mission closes down the city block in front of their building and serves people all day long. They bring meals to shut-ins, toys to kids, hot dinners to others, groceries to some and blankets for the cold. They give the whole day and they will need help to do it all. Below is a list of their goals. It’s very ambitious but if there was ever a city that needed the help it’s San Francisco. Maybe we’ll see you there.

800 Hot meals to the Street Celebration
1500 Grocery Bags to Homes
200 Hot Meals to the Homeless
200 Care Packages for the Homeless

January 2nd (Friday)
Salvation Army Coats for Kids Giveaway (Modesto)

Coats have been donated for kids. We will have the pleasure of walking, talking, sizing and fitting kids as they pick out their coats for the coming winter.
