Many are asking how we can help the people of Haiti.
You can go to Vision Trust International, Baptist Global Response, or Compassion International to make monetary donations. Apart from donating to one of the relief funds, prayer will always be the greatest help we can offer to any people – in crises or not.
For now we would suggest the following general prayer requests until more is known:
Please pray for those who have been affected by the quake – people who are trapped in rubble or homeless, those who are hungry or injured or traumatized.
Pray for the children that will be orphaned from this disaster.
Pray for Mothers and fathers who have lost their children.
Pray for all those who are involved in the relief effort, that the Lord would give them strength to deal with the awful conditions they are facing.
Pray for those who are trying to organize people and resources to assist with the relief efforts, they will wisdom, skill and swiftness in their planning.
Pray for medical help to arrive quickly.
Pray against the all who would seek to take advantage of this tragedy for selfish gain.
Pray for the Haitian government to work corporately and selflessly for their people.
Pray for those who follow Christ to have words of hope that will point people to Christ.
Pray that many Haitians will turn their lives over to Christ as a response to this tragedy
Pray that God would stir up his people to respond with the love of Christ to help people in desperate need.
