I was privileged to grow up in a Christian household, as well as a musical one. My mom began teaching me piano at age 5, and I continued through college. I've been privileged to work (play) with some great musicians, and Calvary is certainly no exception.

I've been blessed with a wonderful wife, Dawn, whom I married in 1983. We've got two great daughters: Mallory, born in 1986, and Ciera, our budding actor, born in 1988.

When I'm not at work, I've been consumed with the flying bug. I recently acquired my private pilot's license, and so now spend some of my free time (and all my spare cash!!) roaming the skies of Central California!

Where were you born? in the hospital :) Watsonville, CA

Did you have a nickname when you were growing up? If so, what was it, and why were you given it? In grade school, the bullies called me "ears", because my ears stuck out as a kid.

What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your life that you haven't already accomplished? Fly my own plane across the country.

How did you meet your spouse? Met her in the nursery at my church. I was 5, she was 4.

What was your first job? What did you learn while working there? Furniture delivery. I learned a lot about responsibility and respecting authority.

What was your favorite childhood TV show? Mr. Roger's Neighborhood

What is your favorite TV show? Arrested Development, but the numbskulls at Fox cancelled it. Other then that, I guess it would be "The Office", followed by "House".

What is your favorite movie? "Napolean Dynamite", followed by "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

What is your favorite musical group? Too many to list. Toto / Mercy Me / Casting Crowns / Elton John / Ben Folds.

What are your favorite books? Currently, Velvet Elvis and "The Shape of Things To Come". Also, "Worship Evangelism" and any interesting software manual. :)

What is your dream car? My dream transportation vehicle would be a Grumman Tiger. It's actually a plane, not a car.

Do you have a favorite scripture verse or passage in the Bible? Galations 5:16 "So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. They you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves."

Do you have any hobbies? Flying single-engine airplanes.

Do you play a musical instrument? I would love to learn the cello. Other than that, a little piano.

Do you or did you participate in any type of recreation or sports? If so, what and when? I was the "Jacks" champion of my 5th grade class. I used to think I could golf, but now I know better.

If you were to have lunch with anyone. who would it be? Apart from all the Biblical characters, it would have to be Leonardo daVinci. He was so far ahead of his time. I'd love to take him to the 21st Century, just to prove that so many of his theories came to pass.
