Getting to know our Children's Ministries Director:

Where were you born? Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA

Did you have a nickname when you were growing up? If so, what was it , and why were you given it? My nickname from my parents was and is Sunshine. I guess because I brightened their lives! :)

Who was/is your hero? My hero is my mom. She has always been such a sweet, wonderful woman. She would do anything for anyone! I have always strived to be more like her.

Tell us about a person that influenced your life in a positive way: My Dad has taught me how to enjoy life, love God and smile and laugh as much as possible. He also has taught me how to not sweat the small stuff.

What were your dreams for the future growing up? I always wanted to be a wife and a mother.

What is one thing you would like to accomplish in your life that you haven't already accomplished? I would love to go on more Mission Trips. I have already been to Russia twice, but would love to go again. I would also love to go to Africa, and to Australia.

How did you meet your spouse? I met my wonderful husband when my family moved to California from Canada , when I was 14 years old. We were best friends through High School and one thing let to another... ;)

What was your first job? What did you learn while working there? My first job was at a Deli / Ice Cream Shop. I learned how to really enjoy a great Sundae!

What subject's did you like best in school? And least? I loved Drama and English in school. I hated Math.

What was your favorite childhood TV show? I always loved The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.

What is your favorite TV show? Another tough one...Survivor, The Amazing Race, Grey's Anatomy.

What is your favorite movie? That's hard to say. I love most "Chick Flicks".

What is your favorite musical group? Third Day, Mercy Me...Alan Jackson

What are your favorite books? I love Sisterchicks, and The Yada Yada Prayer Group.

What is your dream car? My dream car...one that runs. Ok, I guess I would love to own a Honda Pilot. I know, not very huge dreams...very realistic dreams.

Do you have a favorite scripture verse or passage in the Bible? 1 Corinthians 13

Do you have any hobbies? I love to read, spend time with my family, play board games with friends, shop.

Do you play a musical instrument? I can play the Piano, and the Flute...though not very well anymore.

Do you or did you participate in any type of recreation or sports? If so, what and when? I played basketball in 6th grade. Then I was on the Swim Team until 10th grade.

If you were to have lunch with anyone, who would it be? If I could have lunch with anyone, it would have to be Walt Disney!
