Getting to know Lisa Mercer:

Where were you born? Hemet, CA

Tell us about a person that influenced your life in a positive way: Two families that took me under their wing when I was in sixth grade through high school. They were Christian families that eventually lead me to the Lord and took me to church every Sunday.

What is one thing you would like to accomplish in your life that you haven't already accomplished? Live in such a way that those who know you, but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you.

How did you meet your spouse? At a church New Year's party in San Leandro, CA

What was your first job? What did you learn while working there? A door to door pool salesman in Walnut Creek. I learned that I'm not a salesman.

What subject's did you like best in school? And least? Best - English, Worse- Math and Algebra

What was your favorite childhood TV show? Cartoons

What is your favorite movie? I can't sit still to watch a movie.

What is your favorite TV show? Don't watch much TV, ditto as above!

What is your favorite musical group? I enjoy instrumental jazz.

What are your favorite books? The SisterChick series.

What is your dream car? Not sure. I don't own it yet.

Do you have any hobbies? Hiking, watercolor painting, doing stuff with friends and husband, playing with the dogs, photography, making greeting cards, smelling roses, enjoying a good view, taking a road trip.

What is your special talent? Not sure. Ask my husband and friends!

Do you play a musical instrument? No - and you don't want me to try!

Do you or did you participate in any type of recreation or sports? If so, what and when? Synchronized swimming, diving, tap, ballet, San Francisco Children's Opera, skiing. That was then...this is now!

If you were to have lunch with anyone, who would it be? I don't generally pass up lunch with anyone!
