Getting to know Janet Maurer:

Where were you born? Oregon

Did you have a nickname when you were growing up? If so, what was it, and why were you given it? JJ - My initials when growing up.

Who was/is your hero? Jesus (the only perfect person)

Tell us about a person that influenced your life in a positive way: My dad influenced me a great deal. He was a man of faith & prayer.

What were your dreams for the future growing up? Be a great mom and office exec.

What is one thing you would like to accomplish in your life that you haven't already accomplished? I would like to be a grandma.

How did you meet your spouse? I met Rick at church when I lived in Michigan.

What was your first job? What did you learn while working there? My first job was working at the school I attended. I was clerk for the Superindent's office. I learned a lot about being organized.

What subject's did you like best in school? And least? In school, I liked history, English and didn't like math especially algebra.

What was your favorite childhood TV show? Perry Mason - I used to watch it every day with my mom. I loved to guess who was guilty of the crime.

What is your favorite TV show? My favorite TV shows are "JAG" & "Law and Order" (especially when Lenny was a character on it).

What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is "While you were Sleeping".

What are your favorite books? My favorite book is hard to say. There are many that I really like. Some of my favorite author are: Lori Wick, Francine Rivers, John Grisham, & Janette Oke

Do you have a favorite scripture verse or passage in the Bible? Favorite Bible verse are easy. For a long time Romans 12:1&2 have been my favorite verses.

Do you or did you participate in any type of recreation or sports? If so, what and when? The recreation I enjoy the most is games (especially cards & I can be competitive).

If you were to have lunch with anyone, who would it be? I would like to have lunch with Cary Grant if her were still alive. I think he was a fascinating person, good looking too.
