Getting to know our Worship Arts Technical Coordinator: Where were you born? Chicago Heights, Illinois Tell us about a person that influenced your life in a positive way: The late Pastor Jim Harvey from Lodi Community Church. He allowed me to learn at my own pace and praised me for my devotion towards attending, whether or not I fell asleep. I worked every other Saturday night from 6pm-6am with a 2 hour commute and it was extremely tough to stay awake even though I tried. What were your dreams for the future growing up? I did want to be a pilot in the Air Force but that dream didn’t come true. Having a nice house, great kids, and a beautiful wife. Wow !!! I have them all. What is one thing your would like to accomplish in your life that you haven't already accomplished? Visit Italy. Anyone want to help me accomplish this? How did you meet your spouse? A friend and I picked her up and tried to place her in a trash can during gym class in high school. What was your first job? What did you learn while working there? I was a dishwasher in THE Italian restaurant in the Chicago suburbs. It taught me hard work and the pleasure of earning your money. What subject's did you like best in school? And least? I did best in Math and I did not like Chemistry. Sorry Steve U. What was your favorite childhood TV show? Looney Toons What is your favorite TV show? I like the show 24. What is your favorite movie? Blazing Saddles, The Blues Brothers and the original 3 Star Wars. What is your favorite musical group? I have many favorites but Styx, Journey, and Led Zeppelin are some of them. I am starting to get into Todd Agnew. What are your favorite books? Military Technothrillers such as Tom Clancy books. What is your dream car? Lamborghini Countach but the Ford Escort is more realistic. Do you have any hobbies? Computers, electronics. A/V which includes audio, video, and lighting. What is your special talent? My special talent is stirring the pot (instigating). I also like being a sound engineer here at Calvary. Do you play a musical instrument? I played violin from 4th grade through about freshman year and then I played drums during high school. Do you or did you participate in any type of recreation or sports? If so, what and when? I played baseball for 6 years from t-ball up and basketball for 4 years from 6th grade through freshman yr. I have also done some track and field and I have done Judo and Tae Kwon Do. If you were to have lunch with anyone, who would it be? I would like to have lunch with my parents and catch them up on what has been going on since they passed away.
